The British School Yangon Educators Join Global Leaders in the UAE to Shape the Future of Teaching

The three-day conference provided an invaluable platform for teachers from across the region to collaborate, share best practices, and gain fresh insights to bring back to their classrooms.

The conference offered educators from The British School Yangon an opportunity to engage with peers, explore forward-thinking teaching strategies, and strengthen their approach to student learning.

"My biggest takeaway is the passion and dedication to teaching and learning shown by so many Nord Anglia teachers who offer workshops, alongside the innovative work being undertaken by the educational team. The opportunities to collaborate within such a varied programme of professional development is something that you would possibly not receive in a stand-alone school. Workshops on AI gave me greater insight into the challenges we face integrating it into our programmes, as we are always behind the times in this field, however it was also encouraging to see the progress made in utilising AI to improve and develop student learning experiences. Delving into how we can support SEN and EAL students through creating inclusive and adaptive learning materials, gave me confidence that AI can be a positive tool." (Quote from SLT)

The event also focused on Nord Anglia’s groundbreaking research into metacognition—helping students develop an awareness of their learning processes to improve problem-solving and critical thinking.

The Jaws groups' are a great forum to compare some of the challenges we face within our local region, as well as formulating action plans based on our shared experiences.
