Jason Crimi and Jeffrey Holbrook, two excellent artists from the Juilliard (USA), will have a visit to BVIS Hanoi on May 28.

At the end of a very long term, it was wonderful to see so many talented musicians in our annual music competition. The standard of finalists was higher than ever before and I am so pleased that I wasn’t one of the judges who had the unenviable job of choosing a winner from each category.

BVIS student becomes the Champion of International History Bee and Bowl

Where you go is not who’ll you’ll be, were comments that sparked debate recently in the media and got many of us thinking, does that statement ring true for the university you choose? Windermere Preparatory School’s International Student Advisor Ruth Lahnston, Counselor Nancy Gerena and British International School Chicago, South Loop’s Director of Counseling Lindsay Kafitz say students should choose a university that is the best fit for them.

Last week, our Smile Club, part of our commitment to community service, had two trips to the Operation Smile medical mission at the National Hospital of Odonto-Stomatology.

Our first ever Primary STEAM week was a huge success. Our staff really showed off their talents by creating amazing opportunities for our students to take part in cross-curricular learning activities related to Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths (STEAM).

As promised in last weeks’ article, I am pleased to write that the students attending the HAC Basketball event at UNIS last Thursday, enjoyed their chance to test their skills against opposing teams from other Hanoi based schools.

Thirty students, four teachers and a team of supporting family members all started their journey to Thanyapura resort in Phuket, for the U13 FOBISIA games, early on Thursday 28th February.

On the 23rd February, 30 of our Duke of Edinburgh Bronze students headed to Pu Luong to complete their assessed adventurous journeys.

Four more universities in Việt Nam have been recognised with a Cambridge International A Level qualification, proving the increasing reliability of the qualification in Viet Nam.

The Secondary Film Competition is open to any student who has an idea for a short film up to seven minutes long. Students can work as part of a larger production team, or as an individual and there is no limit to the number of films they can submit.

Students learn better when they learn together

Alumni artists from The Juilliard School frequently visit our schools around the world, transforming the connection students have to the performing arts. Actor and teaching artist Abby Gerdts, along with dancer Ingrid Kapteyn, have visited a number of Nord Anglia Education schools across Asia, Europe and the Middle East. The pair share their experiences teaching at our schools, their thoughts on our upcoming regional festivals, and what motivated and inspired them to pursue careers in the performing arts when they were at school.
